I have a Master's in Mathematics from the University of Liverpool, and a PhD from the University of Liverpool in deep learning for drug discovery and electrophysiology. After my PhD, I was briefly involved in bioinformatics, then moved into a medical imaging lab where I used deep learning models for detecting brain swelling in cerebral malaria patients in Malawi, funded by the Wellcome Trust. This work was supported by Innovate UK and the AI SuperConnector to spin out.
My research interests are in bridging the gap between AI research and application, particularly within image processing using deep learning.
